RXV Wellness Village, Thailand: The Future of Longevity
A modern and immersive village just outside of Bangkok for ‘everyone’s wellness’
Just over an hour away from Bangkok International Airport is RXV Wellness Village in Sampran, opened in 2023, is a luxurious, family-friendly destination that combines the latest in health science and longevity research to harmonise mind, body, and lifestyle.
A Warm Arrival
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the warm and hospitable reception team (Non, Jing, and Leni) whose contagious energy immediately put me at ease. They guided me through RXV’s charming village-style grounds, where elegant architecture meets lush greenery, before escorting me to my eighth-floor suite. The spacious, modern room featured a wraparound balcony overlooking the Tha Chin River and the pool below, complete with thoughtful welcome treats and picture-perfect views.
Impressive Facilities
RXV’s facilities are divided into four zones: GAYA for fitness, physiotherapy, and Pilates; JAI for holistic therapies like Thai massage and energy healing; Bor Naam for hydrotherapy with pools, sauna, steam, and icy plunge; and the clinic, offering cryosauna, IV drips, and RF treatments, combining wellness, fitness, and medical therapies in one destination.
On my first morning at RXV, I met Gun, my wellness coordinator, for comprehensive health screenings and performance assessments to help form my personalised programme. My first stop was for a mobee® 360 spine analysis, evaluating posture, mobility, and muscle stability. The process was impressive and particularly valuable since a healthy spine is key to overall wellbeing. It also highlighted the need to strengthen my core, something I have gratefully focused on since my visit.
Next, I had a consultation with an anti-ageing wellness doctor, along with sessions for yoga, functional training, and a variety of massages, all supported by a team of medical experts and performance coaches.
My yoga session with Ice combined hatha, restorative, and aerial yoga, and I enjoyed her sequence; so much so that I even dozed off for a few minutes during savasana while suspended in a hammock! My functional training with Beer was equally appreciated; he helped me to exercise more mindfully by focusing on how I feel, rather than just looking at numbers, and introduced new core-strengthening exercises which I could continue at home.
The RXV signature Belly & Gut Massage with Fern was a completely new and unique experience, treating the gut as more than just a digestive organ. Using traditional techniques including Taoist Chi Nei Tsang, Ayurvedic Vasthi paste, and Thai herbal oils, the intense abdominal massage worked to release tension, aid digestion, and nourish my skin, leaving me feeling lighter and re-energised. My Good Night Massage with Wun was deeply calming and restorative, while the INDIBA® Myofascial Release Massage with the charming Yasmin melted away every last trace of tension.
Delicious Food
Dining at RXV Kitchen was a delight. Guests choose from an à la carte menu of healthy, flavourful dishes made with sustainably sourced ingredients from Patom Organic Farm and local Thai growers. The menu blends Asian and Western influences, following a vibrant ‘rainbow food’ concept. I mostly chose Asian dishes and tried to keep my meals balanced, though I could not resist sneaking in a noodle dish or two! The spicy organic pomelo salad (Yum Som-o), chilli chicken stir-fry with rice and egg (Pad Kaprow), and for breakfast, the Japanese salmon set with a Skin Glow juice were standouts. Also worth noting is that RXV is not authoritarian; beer and wine is available if you would like a drink.
A Special Stay
Outside of my arranged schedule, I explored the 50-acre estate with its grand old trees and bamboo groves, while also joining group activities like HIIT classes, nature jogs, and breathwork. Impressively, I learned that RXV puts sustainability at its core, from partnerships with Suan Sampran to support local communities and the adoption of global environmental standards (earning a Platinum certification from Green Growth 2050) to eco-friendly initiatives like replanting composted kitchen waste throughout the farm and wellness village.
RXV places a strong emphasis on its ‘Everyone’s Wellness’ concept that caters for all ages, and it stands apart from conventional retreats by focusing not on slowing down, but on re-energising and revitalising. The dedicated team works together to create a personalised experience, ensuring every aspect of your stay aligns with your goals. It is ideal for guests, young and old, seeking to take control of their health, achieve tangible results, and leave not only refreshed but equipped with lasting wellness tools. A special mention goes to the exceptional staff, whose warmth and care made RXV another place that was hard to leave.
