History and Heritage
The history of Palazzo Sogni traces back to the sixteenth century. Originally part of Palazzo Testa, it was constructed by the Martelli family during the height of the Renaissance.
For more than five centuries, the property has stood as a striking symbol of Florentine culture and heritage. At its core is the monumental nymphaeum, featuring the spectacular stone fountain traditionally attributed to Baccio Bandinelli. Between the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, an exquisite collection of frescoes was created by Luigi Catani and Antonio Marini, among the most respected artists of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
